In my experience as a teacher in Simon Rivera High School for the Brownsville Independent   School District since September 2006 I have found that technology has had a huge impact on education that cannot be denied, and has done nothing but improve the quality and quantity of education. In the present schools are being pressured more and more to improve the technology they use and teach in the classrooms. Parents are placing this pressure on schools so that their students have the skills needed to compete in the real world job market. Students are placing pressure on the schools to improve technology by having more knowledge of current technology than the school’s staff. Teachers in turn are placing emphasis on the schools to improve technology they want to increase efficiency of information sharing, grading, and communication in the classroom. Businesses place an emphasis on technology in schools so that the schools adequately prepare their future employees, the students. This has captured my attention and that has pushed me even harder to continue with my goal of attaining a master’s degree. I find my career full of opportunities to help the students and also with great opportunities to learn how to help the students.

My current academic goal is to achieve a master’s degree in the Educational Technology field. I think a good way to continue pursuing this goal is to enroll in the master’s program at the University of Texas at Brownsville. My professional objectives are to develop , implement, and evaluate challenging real world educational programs that are academically integrated which offer each student the most comprehensive up-to-date courses which in turn will prepare them to meet and exceed the demands for the ever-changing skill requirements for today's high paced, competitive work environment.
